Relief Paper Sculptures
 

Suitable age range: Children/Young Adult art workshop 11 +

Class Capacity: 15 students

Time Required: 2 hour minimum

Through this workshop the participants will gain and understanding of the benefits of conceptualising ideas and modelling sculptural forms from paper. This hands on workshop will enable students to develop relief paper sculptures by creating repetitive shapes with paper and hot glue guns.
 

The workshop can be extended into a longer form session where students will learn how to photograph and graphically manipulate their sculpture prototypes.

Dry Point Etching on a budget
 

Suitable age range: Children/Young Adult art workshop 11 +

Class Capacity: 20 students

Time Required: 2 hour minimum

Through this workhosp you will use recycled product packaging to create a dry point etching. The etching plate will be printed using oil-based ink and a printing press. The workshop is a child friendly and cost effective project which can be enjoyed by upper primary to high school aged students.

DIY Decal
 

Suitable age range: Children/Young Adult art workshop 8+

Class Capacity: 20 students BYO laptop

Time Required: 2 hour minimum

Through a combination of hand drawn and computer generated graphic design skills you will develop a vector based decal. Using a vinyl cutter your custom made sticker design will be printed out ready to be adhered at home.

Screen printing
 

Suitable age range: Adult art workshop

Class Capacity: 10 students

Time Required: 6 weeks (2 hour weekly sessions)

Screen printing is an effective way to create a series of your own custom-made fabric prints. Through this workshop you will learn practical skills in designing stencils and printing using a silk screen.
                          

Most art materials are included in the cost of the workshop. Fabric and t-shirts printed on during the workshop are not included in the workshop price.

Tropical lino prints
 

Suitable age range: Adult art workshop

Class Capacity: 10 students

Time Required: 6 weeks (2 hour weekly sessions)

Minimum class size: 8 people

Learn the process to designing, cutting and printing your own lino print. Over the course of 6 weeks you will be guided through the creative steps involved in creating a successful artwork suited to lino cutting. You will experience using a professional lino printing press to create an edition of lino prints.

All art materials are included in the cost of the workshop

Experimental Screen-printing
 

Suitable age range: Young Adult art workshop (12-18 years)

Class Capacity: 10 students

Time Required: 6 weeks (2 hour weekly sessions)

Proposed Dates: Thursday afternoon 3:00 pm- 5:00 pm

                              Commencing the 14th February 2019

Minimum class size: 8 people

Through this hands on workshop students will experiment with a range of techniques to create screen-printed designs. Working with found objects, ripped paper, string and other materials you will experience creating free form printing techniques. From this experimental process and guided drawing and stencil making sessions each student will create screen-printed fabric products. 

Most art materials are included in the cost of the workshop. Fabric and t-shirts printed on during the workshop are not included in the workshop price.
